“When you have spent some time going around the group’s posts, looking at all the beautiful watches everyone shares, you can’t help but realise that we are actually blessed to be able to enjoy this hobby. Our basic needs are covered, if I may put it so bluntly. It is for this reason that our effort is to also be able to give something back, to the people less fortunate. We will probably not save the world but we sure do hope that we will make someone’s life a little more comfortable. Diver’s Watches Facebook Group regularly runs auctions with the proceeds donated to charitable organizations around the globe.”
January 2020: Proceeds from the raffle of a Borealis ‘Ardaga’ were donated to WIRES Wildlife Rescue (NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service), the largest wildlife rescue & rehabilitation charity in Australia to help animals (and their habitat) that were affected by the Australian bushfires. [€2,000]
November 2019: All proceeds from the sales of the group’s ‘Protect The Turtles’ t-shirts are used to re-stock and raise awareness to help protect marine turtles and their habitat. The selling price only includes the cost of the t-shirt, shipping cost to the buyer and cost of re-stocking that t-shirt. They can be purchased from eBay item # 133107433469. Help our cause with your purchase for yourself or your loved ones as gifts. (In 2019 alone, €2,500 was raised).
